The 11th game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 pitted South Africa (SA) against England (ENG) in Karachi’s National Stadium. England captain Jos Buttler chose to bat first after winning the toss.
The Three Lions lost three important wickets early in the powerplay, which contributed to their rocky start. Jamie Smith (0), Ben Duckett (24), and Phil Salt (8) were all out cheaply, while Marco Jansen decimated the top order with three wickets.

In reaction, Proteas lost Tristan Stubbs for a duck as his chase got off to a shaky start. But Rassie van der Dussen took the lead and led his team to a resounding victory with an incredible 72-run unbroken knock. With a commanding victory and a reservation in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-finals, the Rainbow Nation easily chased down the goal in just 29.1 overs.
