Dale Steyn wants the CSK star to step up the order, asking, “Can we get more of MS Dhoni out in the middle?”

Even though this is MS Dhoni’s last IPL season, the great former captain of both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and India, he is not slowing down. Dale Steyn, a legendary pacer from South Africa, is one of many who is in awe of Dhoni’s genius and can’t stop watching the 42-year-old bat.

Dhoni has been leading the CSK in the IPL 2024 thus far. The 42-year-old has not lost in his four innings of action, which included two outstanding cameos. He blasted a 16-ball 37 against Delhi Capitals, including three sixes and four boundaries.

The stumper-batter gave CSK’s last game against Mumbai Indians the late finishing touch, hammering 20 runs off of just four deliveries, including three straight sixes off of Hardik Pandya’s bowling. His innings turned out to be the game-winner, as CSK prevailed by a score of 20 runs.

Dale Steyn is begging for more after witnessing the fan favorite’s spectacular hitting display. The South African pacer mentioned how much he was enjoying Dhoni’s IPL 2024 performances.

It has not only consumed the IPL. That has consumed me and many other South Africans. I don’t watch much TV, to be honest, but when the IPL is on, I can’t help but be hooked to my seat. My girlfriend claims that my TV is broken and that it is stuck on cricket right now, so I watch the IPL and MS the other night. We really want to achieve it, Dale Steyn stated on Jio Cinema.

The Proteas pacer, who has been subjected to Dhoni’s powerful blows, underlined how much he enjoys seeing the batsman.

You know, I’ve experienced it previously on the receiving end. As a fan, I watched it and really enjoyed it. I mean, what I just witnessed has made me feel so much better. Can we therefore see more of MS Dhoni in the midst? That would be fantastic,” he continued.
