Sydney Smash will take place before David Warner helicopter lands on SCG outfield.

In an intriguing development, David Warner is scheduled to arrive at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) via helicopter in a dramatic fashion for Friday’s Sydney Thunder game against the Sydney Sixers. The original intention was to build Allianz Stadium next to the cricket stadium; however, it was scrapped. Around the famous “Thanks Dave” logo from his final test, the flashy opener is anticipated to land on the outfield.

After David Warner makes a quick getaway from his brother’s wedding in the Hunter Valley and heads to Cessnock airport, the helicopter should arrive at around 5 p.m., weather permitting. This show has the potential to become even more of a highlight, drawing an audience that may sell out.

“That’s very Davey; he seems a little Hollywood-ish.” I rode the Lime bike out of the gate when Davey landed tonight, and I’ll be doing the same thing tomorrow night. I’m happy they’re putting it together because I believe all cricket fans in the nation want to see David Warner play in the BBL, and I’m eager to face him. Sean Abbott was cited by ESPNcricinfo as saying, “He is one of the best players in the world and has been for a long time.”

David Warner joins the 17-person Thunder squad.

In line with Cricket Australia’s determined efforts to entice international players back to the Big Bash League, David Warner signed a lucrative two-year contract with the Sydney Thunder prior to the previous season. In spite of his retirement from Test cricket, he stated that he intended to play for Thunder in the next season, juggling his obligations to cricket with his role as a commentator for the India Test series. He is consequently included in the 17-man roster for the next Sydney Smash.

The 37-year-old will only play three games for Thunder this season due to his upcoming involvement in the ILT20 competition in the United Arab Emirates. A turn in the storyline, though, indicated that the opener for Australia would likely be included in the team for the T20I series against the West Indies, indicating his ongoing dedication to the shorter format.

Marcus Stoinis believes his ODI omission makes "perfect sense" and that there must be a balance between retaining a core and adding new players.
