Later this year, David Warner, an Australian veteran, will make his Major League Cricket (MLC) debut after being signed by the Seattle Orcas for the latest season. After failing to sell at the IPL 2025 auction, Warner joined the Karachi Kings of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he is currently the Kings’ captain.
David Warner has now joined the Orcas, therefore this will be his second debut.
In MLC 2024, Seattle had a terrible season, finishing last in the league with just one victory in seven games. They did, however, advance to the 2023 first MLC season final.
At the franchise, Warner will be joining players like Ryan Rickelton and Heinrich Klaasen. Quinton de Kock, who played for the Seattle Orcas in MLC 2024, is now residing in Michigan, New York.
Warner has been outstanding with the bat in 2025 despite being retired from international cricket. This year, the 38-year-old left-hander has amassed 416 runs at a 41.6 average and a strike rate of over 140. In 2024–2025, he led the Sydney Thunder to the final and finished as the second-highest run scorer in the Big Bash League (BBL) with 405.
