In the IPL 2025, the Delhi Capitals (DC) were seen having a relaxed dressing room following their thrilling victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). After a unanimous decision, the management presented Mohit Sharma with an award for his “special” single in the final over of the match. That single was crucial in getting Ashutosh Sharma, the set man, to go on strike.
A few remarks regarding the prize were made by Captain Axar Patel while he was accepting it.
He was merely mocking Mohit Sharma for taking a single after winning the honor.
Axar stated in a video posted by DC on social media, “Single ke liye bhi award milta hai kya? Ghum gaya keh raha hai ghum bol raha hai beesve over mein. Over dekhe nai song, Unees?” Then, from the background, someone remarked, “Jalta hai majnu, ise nai mila.”
In a thrilling cricket match, DC made a spectacular comeback from a difficult position. Their greatest run-chase in league history was achieved when they chased down a target of 210 runs. Because of their well-rounded roster and captain Axar Patel, DC has a chance to make history by taking home their first IPL championship.

But it will be interesting to watch how Axar and the group maintain their winning streak in the next games. Given his style of middle-overs batting, Ashutosh Sharma will undoubtedly be the guy to keep an eye on during the competition. He has played such an innings before.
Become accustomed to it now; Axar Patel.
After defeating LSG in the opening round, captain Axar Patel is brimming with confidence and pride in the competition. After the game, Axar began his post-match presentation address by saying, ‘Get accustomed to it now.’ In the game, the captain made a spectacular cameo, scoring 22 runs off of 11 balls.
“Now get accustomed to it. This is how things will be under my captaincy; there will be some ups and downs. People won’t gripe about why I handed that to Stubbs now that we’re victorious. I can’t recall the last time I saw something like this. We felt we gave a few too many early on, based on their performance in the first six overs,” Axar Patel stated during the post-match presentation.
