Secondly Third-place Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host the Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025 Match No. 46. As of right now, the only thing separating the two teams is NRR, and the weekend may conclude with some movement close to the top of the points table.
Despite having played one extra game, RCB has the same number of victories as the other team. Both sides are coming off victories in their last contests. LSG was defeated by DC in Lucknow. Even though Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh had a solid opening pair, LSG’s middle order was disrupted by Mukesh Kumar’s four-wicket haul. Ayush Badoni made an unsuccessful attempt to salvage the innings. Axar Patel’s cameo and the fifties earned by Abishek Porel and KL Rahul helped DC cross the finish line with ease.
The victory over RR in Bengaluru, however, wasn’t as easy for RCB. With aggressive fifties and a crucial partnership, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal gave RCB early impetus. Although RCB’s finishing didn’t have as much of an impact, they managed to score a decent total in the hopes of ending their home ground curse this year. In the middle of the chase, it appeared as though RR would prevail since they were determined to bring the total down, especially Yashasvi Jaiswal.
In the middle overs, the game was turned around by RCB’s spinners Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya, and the team was gradually gaining ground towards victory. Until Dhruv Jurel and Shubham Dubey took 22 off a Bhuvneshwar over, which was needed to get 40 runs from the final three overs. But Josh Hazlewood ended up winning the day. Hazlewood claimed two wickets and conceded just one run in the twentieth over after being handed the ball with RR needing 18 runs off 12 balls. RCB was breathing a sigh of relief after winning a close game by the conclusion of the twentieth.
This fixture will be repeated as well. In the last one, DC appeared on the right side of the outcome. Before the former was run out, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli were off to a spectacular start in Bengaluru. Spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam took control in the middle overs and denied RCB any breathing room. In the end, Tim David’s explosiveness in the final over gave RCB a decent total. Local boy KL Rahul took charge and demonstrated that the ground was rightfully his after RCB dropped DC to 30/3 and then 58/4.

Player Battles to Watch Out For in DC vs RCB, Match 46 of IPL 2025
1. Rajat Patidar vs Axar Patel
