The Delhi Capitals will want to keep up their enthusiasm when they play Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 30, following an exciting one-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2025 opener.
While chasing a difficult target of 210, the Delhi Capitals were struggling at 113/6 in the 13th over of their opening game.
However, rookie Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma stitched a crucial 55-run partnership for the seventh wicket to change the tide of the contest in their favour.
The 20-year-old, who scored a scorching 39 off 15 balls, reflected on his match-winning combination with Ashutosh Sharma by saying, “It was my responsibility to make things easier for Ashutosh. He had more time to calm down once I was able to make a few photographs.
In addition to doing some workouts in the nets, we have played numerous practice matches together. We intended to attempt to duplicate the activities we have been performing throughout the practice sessions. At a pre-game press conference, he told the reporters, “We did that, and fortunately, it worked for us.”
As an all-rounder, the young player also thanked the Delhi Capitals management for the chance and highlighted the value of striking a balance between bowling and batting.
