The contracts of Team India’s Senior Men Support Staff and Head Coach, Mr. Rahul Dravid, have been extended, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). After Mr. Rahul Dravid’s contract expired following the recently concluded ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the BCCI had fruitful conversations with him and decided to extend the tenure.
The Board praises Mr. Rahul Dravid extraordinary professionalism and respects his crucial role in shaping the Indian team. The Board also recognizes Mr. VVS Laxman for his excellent work as interim head coach and head of NCA. Like their storied collaborations on the field, Mr. Dravid and Mr. Laxman have collaborated closely to advance Indian cricket.

Being the Indian Cricket Team’s head coach puts you under constant scrutiny, so I’d like to thank him for accepting the obstacles and succeeding in them. It is a testament to the mutual respect and shared vision between him and the BCCI, and it gives me great pleasure that he accepted the opportunity to continue as head coach. I’m confident that with him leading the squad, they’ll keep pushing toward the top and breaking records along the way.”
