On social media, rumours of Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanshree Verma’s split have been going viral. As Rohit Sharma and his team defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the summit match, the ace leg-spinner was recently observed at the Champions Trophy final in Dubai, where he watched his team win another ICC title.
But it was Chahal’s stadium buddy that garnered media attention. RJ Mahvash, a 28-year-old influencer who sat next to Chahal during the game, is being connected to him. The two’s photos have received a lot of attention on social media. In the midst of all of this, Chahal’s allegedly estranged wife Dhanashree fuelled the flames with a mysterious social media post.
“Blaming women is always in fashion,” her Instagram story read.
It turns out that in the midst of the several reports that were widely circulated, Aditi Mohoni, Dhanashree’s attorney, too had something to say. She criticised the media for misrepresenting the facts and stated that the divorce case had reached the court, but she would not comment on the developments.
“The subject is still sub judice, so I have nothing to say about the proceedings. India Today cited Dhanshree’s lawyer as saying, “The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated.”
We are extremely offended by the unfounded allegations: A member of Dhanshree Verma family
Speaking about this matter, one of Dhanashree’s relatives also expressed their annoyance, asserting that a number of statements aired in the media are untrue.
“The unfounded allegations regarding the alimony amount that are circulating severely infuriate us. To be clear, no one has ever requested, proposed, or even sought for such a sum. These rumours have absolutely no validity to them. Publicising such unsubstantiated material is incredibly careless and leads to needless suspicion about the parties and their families. A member of Dhanashree’s family stated, “We urge the media to exercise restraint, fact-check before spreading misinformation, and also be respectful of everyone’s privacy. Careless reporting like this only causes harm.”
