MS Dhoni effected his 43rd stumping in IPL, whipping off the bails within a blink of an eye to get rid of the Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav during Match 3 of IPL 2025 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, March 23.
It was the third delivery of the 11th over when the 43-year-old gave a display of his sensational reflexes to get rid of Suryakumar, who was batting on 29.
Suryakumar Yadav completely missed the delivery bowled by Noor Ahmad which turned away from him.
In an attempt to drive the ball down the ground, he ended up missing the ball by a big margin, resulting in his dismissal.

Rohit Sharma was removed in the opening over of the match by left-arm bowler Khaleel Ahmed, and Suryakumar became the fourth MI wicket to fall after Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks were removed for 13 and 11 earlier in the evening. MI’s powerplay ended with them scoring 52 runs at a cost of three wickets.
In the first innings, MI scored 155/9, with Tilak Varma leading the way with 31. Noor stood out among the bowlers for CSK. In his four-over quota, the youthful Afghan wrist-spinner, who is only 20 years old, achieved impressive figures of 4/18. Conversely, Khaleel took three wickets for 29 runs. Each of R Ashwin and Nathan Ellis received one.
Dhoni was kept as an uncapped player by CSK before to the IPL 2025 super auction, for those who are unaware. The team that finished second in the tournament kept him as one of five players. Dhoni cost INR 4 crore to acquire.
