“Maine ek hi cheez do saal mein khelke seekha hai ki apne aap pe bharosa (the biggest conclusion I’ve drawn from my two years of playing [here] is to have trust in my abilities). As a star, dusre log bol sakte hai ki, ‘We trust you’ (as a star, other people can say, ‘We trust you’).
But aapko agar khudpe hi bharosa nahi hai toh woh bhi kya karenge (But if you don’t trust yourself, then what even can they do?)? Toh wahi hai ki bas apne aap pe bharosa rakhna hai, apni mehnat pe bharosa rakhna hai, aur sab chhod dena hai ki, ‘Jo hoga dekha jaayega’ (it’s just that I want to trust myself, want to have trust in the work I’m putting in and leave everything else to fall in place),” shared Jurel.
“Mereko opportunity chahiye thi (I just wanted an opportunity). Jaisa bhi karna hai, karna hai (I wanted to do it by hook or crook). Sirf match khelna hai (just wanted to play matches). Kyuki jaha se mai aata hu, ek chhoti si city hai Agra, waha se itne aaye hue players nahi hai (this is because the small city of Agra from where I’ve come from, not a lot of players who have emerged from there).
Waha se matlab IPL khelna, maa-baap ka naam roshan karna, toh mereko woh bachpan se tha (have dreamt of playing the IPL and making my parents proud of me). Aur sabse badi cheez, IPL bohot bada platform hai aapko India khelne ke liye (and the biggest thing, the IPL is an immense platform of making it to playing for Team India),” he added.
Dhruv Jurel scored 35 runs off 23 deliveries in his team’s performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
RR was defeated by nine wickets with 15 deliveries to spare. On Wednesday, April 16, the 2022 runners-up will try to beat Delhi Capitals.
