[WATCH] IPL 2025: Disastrous mix-up between Stubbs and Nigam’s gifts SRH wicket

On Monday, May 5, the 2016 champion Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play the visiting Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 55 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After winning the toss, Pat Cummins, the captain of the SRH, decided to field first. Early on, the pacer effectively used that decision to dismiss the DC batsmen in quick succession.

In the meantime, the 13th over of the first innings was bowled by Zeeshan Ansari. Tristan Stubbs, a cricketer for the Proteas, was bowled the first ball. After pushing it off the pads, the right-handed batter chose to run a couple. After the single, however, Vipraj Nigam showed no interest. However, Stubbs continued to sprint back to the batter’s end.

However, the South African cricket player passed Vipraj Nigam, who remained outside the crease at the striker’s end.

Ultimately, Ansari whipped the bails after SRH fielder Aniket Verma threw the ball to the bowler’s end. When Stubbs got to the batter’s end with Nigam out of the crease, the third umpire checked and determined that Nigam needed to return to the pavilion.

In the stands, SRH co-owner Kavya Maran responded enthusiastically to the DC batters’ mix-up. She pleaded for a run-out while swinging her fists frantically.
