Duleep Trophy, India’s most prestigious red-ball domestic competition, is returning for the 2025 season. This showpiece tournament will also kick off the BCCI’s domestic season in 2025-26, as has been customary. This year’s Duleep Trophy will be played in a zonal format, after being played between secondary national teams the previous season.
In the previous edition, India A won the famous trophy after defeating India C by 132 runs in the final at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur. Mayank Agarwal led the team. Meanwhile, the final of the previous zonal system was contested between the South Zone and the West Zone, with the former winning by 75 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
South Zone and West Zone have been handed straight entry into the semi-finals for their previous season’s achievements. The South Zone will face the winner of the first quarter-final between the North and East Zones, while the West Zone will play the winner of the second quarter-final between the Central and North East Zones.
With the event returning to a zonal structure, top cricketers from all over the country who demonstrated their worth throughout the previous domestic season have been assigned a berth based on the zones they represent. For example, teams from Hyderabad, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, and Goa.
Enough said, let us look at the Duleep Trophy 2025’s main elements, like as teams, squads, schedule, venues, dates, times, live-streaming, and broadcast information.
