Celebrities frequently participate in cricket matches. As a result, the sport has gained a large fan base and become increasingly global. Indian Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta are among the well-known figures who have enjoyed the IPL with their clubs.
Aside from Bollywood actors, some Hollywood celebrities have also shared their passion for cricket. One such celebrity is Ed Sheeran, a four-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter from the UK who participated in an interview with India captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill on Gaurav Kapoor’s “Breakfast with Champions.” The 33-year-old singer also disclosed that he was good friends with Shane Warne, the renowned Australian leg spinner who died three years ago at the age of fifty-two from a heart attack.
In relation to his appreciation for Shane Warne Ed Sheeran recently saw playing cricket with the Rajasthan Royals, a team that not only won the tournament’s inaugural edition in 2008 but also had Warne as a coach.
Ed Sheeran also received Shane Warne’s jersey as a present from the IPl team.
The film also included Riyan Parag, the young star all-rounder for the Rajasthan Royals, bowling to Sheeran.
