Before their match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis said that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have a “well-balanced” roster. On Monday, April 10, the two teams will face off in IPL 2023 match 15.
Incidentally, RCB had a mixed start to the season, winning one game and losing two others. KL Rahul and company, on the other side, have won two of their first three games. Captain Faf du Plessis stressed that his squad will need to step up their game and put on a great performance against a well-rounded LSG team ahead of their third match of the current season.
“LSG’s team is incredibly well-balanced. You can pretty much set up a team really well from a balanced standpoint at the auction when you have a blank slate. We must play at the top of our game since they are a very excellent team “said du Plessis on “RCB Game Day.”
After significant losses, it’s easy to overthink things: Faf du Plessis RCB suffered a crushing 81-run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. For the uninitiated, KKR scored a staggering total of 204 runs, on which Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli quickly launched the chase.
But what came next was complete dominance from Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Suyash Sharma, three spinners. The spin three combined for nine wickets, decking the opposition’s lineup and limiting them to just 123 runs. The RCB captain went on to say that the squad is attempting to improve in a number of areas, but he also pointed out that following significant defeats, it is simpler to make assumptions.
“We want to focus on areas where we can improve a little. Whether you win or lose, I believe that there is always something to consider. Just focus on the areas where you believe we can make progress while also identifying the ones where you are succeeding.
