In a recent bust, Rachakonda police detained over a dozen people for having fake IPL match tickets and security permits. The accused were apprehended on April 18 in Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, where Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians were playing in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
After a fan purchased six tickets for the game only to discover that their seats were already taken, the fraudsters were apprehended. However, they were given substitute seats, and the complaint noted that the spectators observed numerous others having the same problem.
According to L. Spandana (name changed), a law student, “We entered the stadium at around 8 p.m., and by that time those seats were already occupied by some other persons.”
After spotting 13 people attempting to watch the match between SRH and MI while carrying bogus security IDs, the authorities filed a complaint against the ticket seller. Numerous sources claim that it has come to light that ticket sellers are selling phony IDs and tickets by copying the barcode on the genuine copies and pasting it on the replicas.
Sunrisers Hyderabad is having trouble winning.
Regarding Sunrisers Hyderabad’s performance, the Aiden Markram-led team is currently near the bottom of the IPL points standings. Hyderabad is currently ranked ninth in the rankings with four points after seven games, which comprised two victories and five losses.
On April 24, they played their most recent match against the David Warner-led Delhi Capitals. Hyderabad played outstandingly with the ball in the first inning, limiting Delhi to a total of 144 runs. In four overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a superb session, allowing only 11 runs and picking up two wickets. Washington Sundar also bowled four overs and struck three times, giving up 28 runs.
Only Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klassen, however, were able to have an influence during the run chase. They have respectively 49 and 31 runs to their names. Even still, the Delhi Capitals won the match by seven runs, so their efforts were in vain.
