Virat Kohli’s game-winning performance against Pakistan on October 23, 2022, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), is one instance that will always be remembered. Even after eighteen months, Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf is still plagued by recollections of the match. He still receives trolling for giving up a few sixes in the penultimate over.
India needed 28 runs off the final eight balls on that particular night at the “G.” In the penultimate over, Kohli faced Rauf and struck two incredible sixes that swing the match in the Men in Blue’s favour. India not only won the match thanks to these shots, but they also made history. Rauf is still affected by those sixes in many leagues across the globe.
Recently, the bowler was reminded of that Melbourne night during a Major League Cricket (MLC) match in the United States. A supporter yelled, “Haris bhai, Melbourne abhi bhi yaad aata hain? ” as he fielded close to the boundary. Yaad hai, Virat ke 2 chakke? (Are you able to recall Melbourne? Virat’s pair of sixes?

A different class exists for Virat Kohli: Haris Rauf
A month after the World Cup, Rauf declared Kohli to be a remarkable talent. The 30-year-old said that nobody else could have performed as well as the Indian hitter, referring to him as a class player.
“That was his class, and the sort of shots he plays—I don’t think any other player could hit those kind of shots, including the two sixes he blasted. According to Cricket Pakistan, Rauf stated, “That was Kohli, and that’s a different class. Had Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya hit me like that, I would have been hurt.”
