After Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the host team, defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a slim margin of two runs on Saturday night, Bengaluru supporters sent the streets around the M Chinnaswamy Stadium into a sea of crimson.
As they jammed the team bus on the way back to the hotel, the fans burst into tears as they chanted, “RCB! RCB!” and waved flags, sang team anthems, and danced in joy of the victory. One video showed RCB all-rounder Krunal Pandya documenting the festivities from the team bus and sharing the excitement of witnessing the RCB supporters’ mania.
It’s crazy, guy, what a thrill. We believe that we are among the fortunate. The support is so strong that we must win the trophy on their behalf. Can you imagine what will occur? I had an encounter that was insane. In an RCB-posted video, he remarked, “I loved it, words cannot express it.”

Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal’s outstanding final over helped RCB defeat archrivals CSK by defending 214 runs during the match.
The winning percentage always appeared to be in CSK’s favour because they required 15 runs off the final six balls and had stalwarts MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja at the crease. In order to lead RCB home, Dayal produced an outstanding over, dismissing Dhoni and recovering after giving up a six off a no ball.
Virat Kohli’s innings of 62 off 33 balls and Jacob Bethell’s 55 served as the cornerstones of RCB’s effort. However, Romario Shepherd’s heroics of 53* off just 14 balls—including 33 runs in one over of Khaleel Ahmed—gave the hosts the boost they needed and helped them reach 213/5.
The main highlights of CSK’s chase were Jadeja’s undefeated 77 and 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre’s 94. Prior to Mhatre’s expulsion in the seventeenth over, the visitors appeared to be on course. Notwithstanding their advantageous position in the match, CSK faltered under duress, scoring only 35 runs in the final three overs.
With this victory, RCB moved up to the top of the IPL standings with 16 points from 11 games and has taken a step towards the playoffs.
