The cricket world was taken aback when Australia’s head coach, former all-rounder Andrew McDonald, said that David Warner was the nation’s most accomplished all-around player. Furthermore, he noted that in the purest form of the game, Test cricket, there was no way to find a suitable substitute for him. Notably, the announcement was made just before Warner’s last Test match, which is scheduled for January 3, 2024, against Pakistan in Sydney.
