During the match against New Zealand, the top three hitters were already back in the pavilion during the powerplay, which put the Indian team in difficulties. Glenn Philips’ spectacular one-handed catch of India’s great Virat Kohl astonished the audience and led to one of the most famous dismissals in history.
With a well timed cut shot, Virat found Glenn Phillips at point, diving to his right and taking a shocker, the biggest shock of the game.
The legendary all-rounder from New Zealand made the catch appear so simple, and as he was only recovering from a century against Pakistan, this was one of the game’s biggest wickets. He was removed by Matt Henry after scoring just 1.1 from 14 deliveries.
