Ahead of Monday, April 21’s start of the ongoing IPL 2025 match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Eden Gardens, Shubman Gill gave an update on when he planned to tie the knot. Danny Morrison, a well-known broadcaster and former cricket player from New Zealand, engaged the GT captain during the toss on a pretty surprising subject.
As they were talking about Gill’s team lineup for the match, the humorous Morrison turned the conversation to Gill’s stunning looks and enquired as to whether he was getting married soon. With a broad smile on his face, Shubman Gill dismissed the idea, pleased by the question.
“You’re looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?” asked Morrison.
“No, nothing like that!” replied Gill.
Only Danny Morrison can drop this at the toss:
Danny:”You’re looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?”
Shubman Gill:”No, nothing like that.”

In recent years, Gill’s romantic life has been the subject of innumerable rumours. He has been associated with some well-known figures. On Monday, though, Gill addressed any unanswered questions regarding his private life.
Ajinkya Rahane defeated Gill in the toss, and the KKR captain chose to field first. On Saturday, April 19, GT continued to use the same starting lineup from their most recent seven-wicket triumph over the Delhi Capitals. Jos Buttler’s outstanding performance with the bat earned him Player of the Match. He took a few catches in the first innings and was still undefeated at 97 off 54 deliveries.
GT’s impressive start in the 2025 IPL
GT has gotten off to a great start to the 2025 Indian Premier League. They have won five out of their first seven games. In Ahmedabad and Lucknow, they have only lost against the Punjab Kings (by 11 runs) and the Lucknow Super Giants (by six wickets), respectively. A 58-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals was their most complete triumph.
