In Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) Match 32, Gujarat Titans (GT) vs. Delhi Capitals (DC) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Gujarat was called to bat first after Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss. DC changed their starting lineup for the game despite coming off a six-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as opener David Warner was unavailable due to injury.
With just one half-century and 166 runs from six innings at an average of 27.66 and a strike rate of 138.33, the southpaw’s season hasn’t been particularly noteworthy thus far. All-rounder Sumit Kumar was called in by DC team management to take Warner’s spot.
However, Gujarat made three changes to their starting lineup, welcoming back veteran players David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha. Due to a back spasm, Saha had missed the previous two matches, and Miller had missed the previous three because of a tight hamstring.

GT was forced to sit Matthew Wade, who had only managed four runs in his lone game this season, in order to make room for Miller. To get Saha back, they also benched all-rounder Vijay Shankar, who hasn’t played much this season. Along with their star speedster, Umesh Yadav, Gujarat benched Sandeep Warrier, who will be playing in his first game of the season.
Thus far this season, Yadav has claimed seven wickets from six innings at an economy rate of 10.55 and an average of 27.14.
