The Gujarat Titans’ (GT) chaotic season-opening performance has taken on a rhythm following their victory over the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Wednesday, April 2, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The visitors managed to win by eight wickets thanks to a superb performance. Thanks to Jos Buttler’s aggressive unbeaten 73-run innings and Mohammed Siraj’s three-wicket haul, the victory was easy.
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh discussed Siraj’s retaliation against his old side after the game.
The bowler was the primary cause of RCB’s loss because he kept the game close and didn’t let up many runs during his session. The team’s hard-hitters, Phil Salt (14 off 13), Devdutt Padikkal (4 off 3), and Liam Livingstone (54 off 40), were also dismissed by him.
Since he needed to make a point, Siraj was excited. Despite playing for RCB for many years, he was not selected by his previous team. Siraj sank the RCB’s vessel. DSP Siraj deserves praise. Without a doubt, this effort is Man of the Match. To Siraj, congratulations. Rashid cost too much. GT was a good batsman. “Buttler was amazing,” Harbhajan posted on his YouTube page.
The GT bowlers deserve a great deal of credit for reducing RCB to just 169 runs at a cost of eight wickets. Rashid Khan was once again wicketless, but Sai Kishore took two wickets and every other bowler took one wicket each.
In just 17.5 overs, GT chased down the 170-run mark, earning a strong NRR and two priceless points. It will be useful to them later on, if necessary. Shubman Gill would be pleased as captain because his squad ended RCB’s winning run after two consecutive tournament victories. With the Delhi Capitals (DC), RCB, GT, and Punjab Kings (PBKS) occupying the top four spots, the points table is intriguing.
