Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, lost his temper during the last over of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings in the current IPL 2025 Match No. 33. Will Jacks’ misfield gave up a second run off what should have been a single.
Aniket Verma mistimed a shot off a full delivery from Hardik Pandya and was searching for a single in the last over of the first innings.
The batters were able to rally for two, though, thanks to Jacks’ cautious approach in the deep. The all-round player was heard yelling, “How? How?!” in exasperation. On a two-paced Wankhede surface, Hyderabad had a total to bowl at after Hardik’s over ended up giving up 22 runs, including three sixes.

At the top, hopefully, we shall see it off: Will Jacks
Abhishek Sharma made a costly mistake earlier in the game when Jacks dropped him off the opening ball of the session at slips. The SRH opener went on to top the scoring with 40. But according to the Englishmen, the team is content with the goal and intends to be astute in the pursuit.
“Very content. Knowing I had a chance to bowl, I saw three lefties in the top. There was definitely some turn. The seamers need some grip. We bowled, and Sunrises will do the same. We must be astute and work to reduce the score. We were well-prepared. I found out yesterday that I’ll be going bowling. I gained confidence from the captain and coach. I continued, thus. We are satisfied with the aim, I believe. We observed that the top was challenging. “Hopefully, we’ll take it deep, chase it down, and see it off at the top,” the broadcaster said during the mid-innings break.
Up until the seventeenth over, however, SRH found themselves in a difficult position. Even Heinrich Klaasen struggled early on, and Travis Head scored 28 from 29 balls on a pitch that was holding up for the seamers and gripping for the spinners. The game was altered, though, by Deepak Chahar’s 18th over, in which Klaasen smacked two sixes in a 21-run over. After that, Aniket Verma and Pat Cummins finished off wonderfully in Hardik’s final over, raising the score to 162/5.
