Hardik Pandya, captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), has stated how excited he is for Sunday, April 20, when the MI will play the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium.
After defeating the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) back-to-back, Mumbai has gained some momentum. They beat the 2016 winners by four wickets at home on April 17. After dropping four of their first five games, MI has recovered thanks to these two outcomes.
Because of their long-standing rivalry, MI and CSK games are known as the IPL El Clasico. Both teams are aiming for an unprecedented sixth IPL championship. When the two teams face off for the second game in the competition, Hardik anticipates a crowded Wankhede Stadium. According to him, his side will recuperate for a while before playing the Men in Yellow on Sunday.
“The house will be filled. The game will be fantastic, I’m convinced of it. After the game, Hardik stated, “We just need to get a good night’s sleep so that we can see them again on Sunday.”
We bowled extremely well today. Hardik Pandya Hardik commended his bowlers for their performance against a formidable SRH batting lineup on Thursday.
The Orange Army was limited to 162/5 by Jasprit Bumrah and company. MI responded by hitting the target with 11 balls remaining and four wickets.
“We bowled today in a very astute and precise manner. Following simple arrangements, we discovered that some deliveries are difficult to make. We kind of squeezed it during that game,” Hardik remarked.
It had a pleasant greenness and may make a decent track. A couple of balls that Deepak bowled got stuck there. Therefore, we believed that a shift in tempo may be beneficial. We were attempting to mix it up. Because the batters can line up if you repeatedly bowl the slower ones. They didn’t get the rhythm since we performed well with the yorkers as well,” he continued.
