Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), fulfilled his pledge to give Gujarat Giants’ Kashvee Gautam a special bat following the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 Eliminator. In the WPL, Gautam, an all-rounder like Pandya, was outstanding for her club, taking 11 wickets at an average of 18.18 from nine games.
Notably, she was promised a 1100 gramme bat similar to the one she uses by Hardik Pandya.
Pandya congratulated Gautam on her first India call-up and gave her the signed bat in a touching moment before MI’s match against DC in Delhi. The MI captain shook hands with Gautam, who was overjoyed with the present.

The IPL 2025 Mumbai Indians are having trouble.
The Mumbai Indians, however, have lost four of their last five games in the current IPL season as they struggle to find the perfect lineup. The franchise is in its second season under Pandya, and after finishing last in the 2024 standings, its fate has not improved.
Speaking of their performance this year, the club lost to Gujarat Titans (GT) by 36 runs after falling to archrivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by four wickets. After winning their first match by eight wickets against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Pandya and company lost their following two matches by the same 12-run margin against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). With two points, they are now just one spot above CSK in ninth place in the points table.
