Team India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on a historic night for Indian cricket, gaining another priceless trophy to their expanding collection. India defeated opponents New Zealand by four wickets in the final match thanks to an outstanding team effort. Aside from the exciting contest, though, the crowd’s attention was captured by a post-match exchange between Hardik Pandya and the host announcer.
The Indian all-rounder, who was instrumental in the final with both bat and ball, was having fun when he recreated a historical viral moment. The famous presenter Jatin Sapru was about to question Pandya about his performance when the all-around star sarcastically said, “You perform well in final, what happening?”
The statement was an amusing reenactment of the same query that was posed to West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell by a Bangladeshi journalist following the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final. Sapru couldn’t help but laugh with Pandya as the event set the tone for hilarity.

A lighthearted touch was added to an otherwise joyous evening for India by Hardik Pandya humorous jab.
“It’s always amazing to win an ICC event,” he continued. Having vivid memories of 2017, I was unable to complete that period. I am quite happy that I completed it here. KL. Rahul took calculated risks and remained composed. His talent is so great that no one can timing it as well as him.
India’s ICC supremacy was cemented with this triumph, and social media users quickly shared the video, making it one of the tournament’s most talked-about events.
