Pakistan has already dropped the opening two matches of the seven-match T20I series they are playing while touring New Zealand.
But in the third Twenty20 International, they got off to a great start as pacer Haris Rauf made a spectacular grab at fine leg in the opening over, setting the tone for Pakistan’s play.
Fin Allen received Shaheen Shah Afridi’s fifth ball of the opening over, which was placed up to gain some swing. But Allen managed to score a magnificent boundary by whipping the ball off his toes as it went down with the angle. Rauf, who was positioned at the short fine leg, was hit by the ball. With his right hand extended, the express pacer leaped into the air and made a spectacular reflex catch to remove Allen.

Rauf was really hyped up after the grab. In his four overs, he claimed three wickets, including captain Michael Bracewell and Tim Seifert, for a total of just 29 runs. NZ, however, amassed 204 runs in their 20 overs.
After 11 overs, the visiting team is at 135/1 after the Pakistani openers gave them a fantastic start in the chase in Auckland. They are also batting faster than the needed run rate.
