As part of an effort to leave a legacy of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the first international women’s cricket event to be held in the region, the International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced affordable match tickets starting at just five Dirhams and free entry for those under the age of 18.
Along with Zaid Abbas, a board member of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice made the announcement at a press conference and complimented the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a location.

For all ten teams, then, this is essentially their home World Cup, and the players will have the encouragement of fervent supporters. Considering this, I’m happy to inform that tickets will start at just five dirhams, and those under the age of eighteen will get in free.
Along with the Dubai Sports Council, we will collaborate with the ECB to preserve the event’s heritage.” “To provide over 500 girls with an opportunity to participate in the game and enjoy their first cricket experience, we will be organizing cricket festivals,” Allardice said, expressing gratitude to the ECB for organizing the event after it was moved from Bangladesh.
In addition, Allardice released a video featuring a breathtaking laser show during the tournament at the renowned Burj Khalifa. “I would like to thank the ECB and our friends at the Dubai Sports Council as well as the teams at the Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium for their extraordinary efforts,” Allardice said.

The top female players in the world of T20 cricket will square off in this tournament to vie for the top prize. Throughout the event, Dubai and Sharjah are expected to host exhilarating competitions and outstanding individual and team displays.

The 10-team competition, which takes place from October 3–20, will determine a champion team after 23 games over the course of 18 days. Dubai and Sharjah will host the 20 league games, with the semifinals scheduled for October 17 in Dubai and October 18 in Sharjah. There will be a final in Dubai.
Group A: includes six-time champions Australia, along with India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B: comprises Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland.
