The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received sincere appreciation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for organising the Champions Trophy 2025 with such ease. Notably, when they co-hosted the Cricket World Cup in 1996, Pakistan held their last ICC competition.
The video was uploaded to the global administration body’s Instagram account. The cricket activity that took place during the competition as a whole was montaged.

The voiceover in the cut concluded with the words “Thank you, Pakistan” and highlighted the tournament’s overall achievement in uniting nations.
The PCB’s organising committee members and other support workers received an emotional statement from ICC CEO Geoff Allardice, thanking them for making sure the tournament was run the way it was.
“The PCB has our sincere gratitude and congratulations for hosting the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
For the PCB, this tournament was extremely important because it was the first international multi-team cricket competition to be held in the nation since 1996. According to Allardice, who was quoted by the ICC, “Everyone who has worked to modernise the stadiums, prepare the playing fields, deliver the matches, and host the teams and visitors should be extremely proud of their efforts.”
During the tournament’s closing ceremony in Dubai, which was hosted by Pakistan, fans noticed that no PCB representatives were present, sparking a heated discussion within the cricket community. What fans noticed most was that all three of the officials at the presenting event were Indians: BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, current BCCI president Roger Binny, and former BCCI chairperson-turned-ICC president Jay Shah.
