The India team led by Harmanpreet Kaur will turn their attention to their white-ball tasks after winning the sole Test match against Australian women in history. India will play Australia in three one-day internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 internationals (T20Is) after the one-test match.
Thursday, December 28, is the first ODI match, while Friday, January 5, is the first T20I match. India’s squads for both series against Australia were revealed by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) before the white-ball series.
Harmanpreet Kaur will serve as captain of both teams, while Smriti Mandhana will assume the vice captain position. In addition, a number of celebrities, including Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, and others, will be on the side.
With the white-ball series, India hopes to replicate its triumphs in Test matches.
Team India will be pumped up for the ODI and T20I series, coming into the match fresh off an outstanding victory in the just-finished one-off Test against Australia.
The hosts won by eight wickets after dominating Australia under Alyssa Healy’s leadership for the majority of the game. They will be hoping to repeat the same feats in the ODI and T20I series. It’s also noteworthy that the T20I series will be held at the D Y Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai, while the three-match ODI series will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
