The BCCI president and former captain of India, Sourav Ganguly, is fully in favor of Rohit Sharma’s team defeating Australia in the championship match. He underlined how important it is to continue playing in the same manner as they did throughout the 2023 World Cup. Ganguly acknowledged India’s impressive performance and emphasized the difficulty of defeating such a strong team in the championship. He wished India well, but he also recognized Australia’s strength and competitiveness.

“India is currently looking fantastic. My best wishes are with them for Ahmedabad. India has performed incredibly well in the competition; all that stands between them and the World Cup championship is one match against Australia. It will be difficult to stop India if they play any differently than they have so far in the competition. Australia has a strong team, so it should be an exciting encounter,” Ganguly told reporters on Friday, as reported by India Today.
