IND-W vs SL-W 2025: India Women to host Sri Lanka for five T20Is in December

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the next Women’s T20I series, with India Women hosting Sri Lanka for a five-match series next month.

The series will begin in Visakhapatnam before travelling on to Thiruvananthapuram for the remaining matches.

This will be both teams’ first international assignment since competing in the ODI World Cup at home. The Women in Blue were ecstatic to win their first ICC title at the event, and they will now face the Sri Lankan team for a 10-day series in the game’s shortest format.

Notably, the Indians are now placed third on the ICC WT20I Team Rankings, with the Lankan Lionesses in seventh. However, both have previously been fierce competitors, and the same can be expected when they face off in the forthcoming series as well.

The first, third, and fourth games of the series have been scheduled on weekends, which will increase live fan attendance at the venue as well as on digital and terrestrial networks. The first few games will be played at Visakhapatnam, which recently hosted a few Women’s World Cup 2025 games. The remaining games in the series will take place at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium.

The Senior Women’s Selection Committee will unveil the Indian team’s selection for the series soon, with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur poised to lead the charge once more.
