In IPL 2024, Matt Henry, a pacer from New Zealand, will be a member of the Lucknow Super Giants team, taking David Willey’s spot from England. Willey had been scheduled to miss the opening of the competition, but he has chosen to sit out the whole league.
The pacer, who charges INR 1.5 crore a month, is well-known for his accuracy and quickness. With a lot of experience, Henry leads the team, having played in 25 Tests, 82 ODIs, and 17 T20 Internationals for New Zealand. He previously wore the Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings jerseys during the IPL. His inclusion should strengthen the LSG’s bowling offense, even if he hasn’t played much.
