With every new season in the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) illustrious past, records are set and broken. One of the most recognizable players in the history of the game, MS Dhoni, celebrated a major milestone on Sunday, April 14, 2024, the day of the high-stakes match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the legendary Wankhede Stadium.
The former captain of both India and CSK, Dhoni, accomplished the incredible accomplishment of being only the second player in T20 cricket history to appear in 250 games for one team (the other being Virat Kohli for Royal Challengers Bengaluru).
Since the first-ever IPL season in 2008, when he was named captain, Dhoni has been a part of CSK. Dhoni has been one of the most successful captains in league history, leading the team to five IPL titles throughout the years.

Dhoni remains an essential member of the CSK roster, leading the club with his match-winning skills and priceless knowledge, even after resigning as captain prior to the commencement of the IPL 2024 season.
Dhoni made 24 appearances in the Champions Tournament T20, an extinct T20 tournament, as part of his 250-match milestone for CSK. There is nothing like the great wicketkeeper’s devotion to the team.
