Die-hard cricket fans will always remember the 13th IPL 2024 match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals for a variety of reasons.
With a quick 43-run knock, Prithvi Shaw signalled his return to the IPL following two underwhelming seasons. After overcoming the tragic vehicle incident that happened in 2022, Rishabh Pant made his first half-century. After a disastrous Ranji Trophy 2024 campaign, Ajinkya Rahane blossomed at the batting end. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni captivated fans with a vintage assault in a thrilling run-chase, amassing an undefeated 37* off 16 balls, of which 34 were gains from boundaries.
But the most exciting part of the thrilling evening game happened after it ended, as ground personnel were spotted sprinting across the outfield to take pictures with Dhoni. At the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam’s happy ground workers, who were seen beaming with joy and posing with the idol, surrounded Dhoni in the centre of the group.

The 42-year-old, who appears to age like a great wine, is very respected and well-liked by celebrities and cricket players worldwide. As yesterday’s spectacle beautifully exemplified the obsession for him that is currently circulating throughout India, it wouldn’t be incorrect to conclude that it is one of the most prominent ones.
