In IPL 2025, Hardik Pandya of the Mumbai Indians (MI) was beaming after dismissing Shubman Gill of the Gujarat Titans (GT). The hitter was sent back to the pavilion by Pandya’s brief delivery, but Gill appeared intent and engaged on the game.
The bowler stayed there and watched him go, glaring at him as he began to make his way to the dugout. Despite Gill’s outstanding batting performance, the Mumbai captain was astute enough to lure him in with a quick delivery that moved more slowly in the air. After Gill hit the ball, it found its way to the fielder in the deep square leg position, where Naman Dhir made a spectacular catch.

A partnership of 78 runs from Sai Sudarshan and Gill helped GT establish a base.
In 27 balls, Gill scored 38 runs, while Sudarshan scored 63 runs off 41 balls. The responsible innings of 39 runs in 24 balls was performed by Jos Buttler after Gill was dismissed.
The MI captain, Pandya, was the team’s best bowler. After taking a catch and dismissing Rahul Tewatia with a stunning toss, he claimed two wickets. All things considered, Hardik Pandya had a great day today, and he will undoubtedly be a candidate for Player of the Match if he does well at bat. However, MI will need to chase 197 runs in order to win for the first time this season.
