The SRH openers were starting to relax when MI captain Hardik Pandya made a vital breakthrough by dismissing Abhishek Sharma, the left-handed batsman who was in form, with a stunning catch by substitute fielder Raj Bawa, who had replaced Karn Sharma.
In the eighth over of the game, Pandya bowled a slower, shorter ball into the field on the third delivery. Aiming for the sweeper cover, Abhishek extended his hand to smack it through the offside. Raj Bawa, on the other hand, rushed in, leaned forward, and dismissed the batter with a low, crisp catch. The wicket was a much-needed breakthrough for the Mumbai Indians and ended the developing partnership.

MI won the game easily in the end, with all of the batsmen scoring runs and chasing the target with 11 balls remaining. In front of their home audience, MI won the 2025 IPL for the third time with two points.
In their batting, SRH amassed 162 thanks to Heinrich Klassen and Abhishek Sharma.
Will Jacks took two wickets in a quick stint of bowling for MI. MI batsmen scored runs against SRH bowlers with ease in the second innings. No other bowlers were able to add to the total or hold the MI hitters in check because of the captain’s outstanding performance for SRH, which saw him take three wickets in his four-over session.
