In Match 59 between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Caribbean cricketer Shimron Hetmyer dismissed the settled Nehal Wadhera with a spectacular low catch.
Akash Madhwal bowled the final ball of the 16th over to the left-hander, about fuller length and outside the batter’s smashing zone. When Wadhera attempted to attach it, he barely made a passable connection. The West Indies cricket player was in deep cover when he cut it over the off-side. By making it appear comfortable, he executed a fantastic low catch that ended the 58-run partnership between Shashank Singh and Wadhera.

Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, won the toss and decided to bat first. The visitors’ decision paid off well as they dominated the first innings of the match, scoring 219 runs at a cost of six wickets. Shashank Singh (59 off 30) provided solid support for Nehal Wadhera, who hammered 70 runs off 37 balls. Tushar Deshpande was the best bowler for RR, taking two wickets in his four-over performance.
Third in the IPL 2025 Points Table, PBKS is still in the running for a postseason berth. They will earn a spot in the playoffs if they defeat the team captained by Sanju Samson. RR has already been eliminated from the tournament and is currently in ninth place in the points table.
