The Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam to make it two victories from two IPL 2025 games.
Mitchell Starc (5/35) scored in the powerplay, causing SRH’s batting to falter for the second consecutive game. Aniket Verma (74 off 41) marshalled the collapse and was sufficiently aggressive to demonstrate his true abilities. In the middle overs, Kuldeep Yadav (3/22) applied further pressure, and Starc returned to finish his fifer.
Faf du Plessis (50 off 27) gave DC’s chase a head start, making the outcome merely a formality. Despite the help of the other hitters, Zeeshan Ansari (3/42) was able to give a chase that was completed in 16 overs a scare.

6 – du Plessis is also the sixth oldest player to make an IPL fifty. Gilchrist is the oldest, followed by three appearances for Chris Gayle and then one for Dhoni before the DC vice-captain.
