At the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, visiting captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to field, limiting the Rajasthan Royals to 173 for 4 in Match 28 of the 2025 Indian Premier League. The RCB picked a same starting lineup from their six-wicket loss to the Delhi Capitals at home, while the hosts made one change, replacing left-arm bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi with spinner Wanindu Hasaranga.

When the side finished the powerplay at 45/0, Sanju Samson took 15 balls to get his first boundary, while RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a boundary each in the first four overs of the match. In the opening over, Samson was stumped for 15 (19) by Krunal Pandya.

The track was difficult to bat on, and before the conclusion of 10 overs, RR had scored 77/1. Jaiswal reached his second half-century of the season on the opening delivery of the 13th over, but the scoring pace was controlled by RCB’s disciplined bowling. RR had a spectacular innings finale as Jaiswal left for 75 off 47. The last four overs saw 47 runs, with Jurel finishing undefeated with 35 off 23 deliveries.
