Ishan Kishan (29) and Aniket Verma (12*) made valuable contributions, but Klaasen’s one-man performance left KKR reeling. Klaasen finished unbeaten on 105 from 39 balls, including seven fours and nine maximums.

“(On hitting at number three), I’m a situation player; that’s the plan in the dugout. If we lose a wicket after the powerplay or at the end of the powerplay, I simply come in.
