The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been altered by Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliation to Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror assault. Many airports in Northern India, including the Chandigarh airport, have been shut down as a result of the aforementioned operation, raising concerns about the Punjab Kings’ home games. Delhi Capitals on May 8 and Mumbai Indians on May 11 are the next two games Punjab Kings have booked at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
The PBKS vs MI game is expected to be moved to Navi Mumbai, according to BCCI sources.
Due to the unexpected turn of events, the game against the Delhi Capitals will probably be rescheduled.
The flights that Mumbai Indians were supposed to take on May 7 to Dharamsala via Chandigarh have been cancelled, therefore they will not be travelling as planned. According to a report by, the franchise is awaiting orders from the BCCI.
“The Mumbai Indians vs. Punjab Kings game was originally scheduled for May 11 but was moved to Mumbai due to the closure of Dharmshala Airport,” a BCCI source stated.
Since Dharamshala lies close to the border, the BCCI has realised that the match schedule between DC and PBKS tomorrow is also in jeopardy. The board is in contact with the government and is awaiting approval for the match, the source continued.
