Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play their IPL 2025 season opener against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, March 23, at MA Chidambaram Stadium. The long-awaited question has finally been addressed.
The two bitter rivals only met once before, at Wankhede Stadium, where CSK’s former captain, MS Dhoni, hit MI’s captain, Hardik Pandya, with three sixes in the last over to help CSK win a close match.
Wankhede Stadium will host the second meeting between the teams this time around on Sunday, April 20. It would be intriguing to watch how the supporters support their captain, Hardik, following a very turbulent season the previous year.
