In the 15th over of the first innings of the PBKS vs RCB IPL 2025 qualifier 1, Jitesh Sharma held onto a one-handed blinder to knock Azmatullah Omarzai (18 off 11). It was the wicketkeeper-batter’s third catch of the match when Omarzai was dismissed.
Josh Hazlewood gave the Afghan all-rounder a significant outside edge as he swung across a length. To finish PBKS’ terrible batting performance, Jitesh made a full-stretch leap and caught the ball as it flew across to his right.

Jitesh had also caught Prabhsimran Singh (18 off 10) and Shreyas Iyer (two off three) during the powerplay.
Meanwhile, RCB had won the toss and decided to field first. Their decision paid off handsomely when the visitors reduced PBKS to 48/4 by the end of the powerplay.
Apart from Marcus Stoinis (26 off 17), no other PBKS batsman scored more than 20 runs. For RCB, the top performances were Hazlewood (3/21 in 3.1 overs) and Suyash Sharma (3/17 in three overs). Yash Dayal (2/26 in four overs) was the only bowler who fulfilled his whole quota.
