A cheerleader for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs. Delhi Capitals (DC) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match described the sequence of events that transpired at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday, May 8. Due to tensions across the border between India and Pakistan, the game was called off in the middle of the first innings.
As she left the stadium, she appeared understandably terrified. She said in a video that spectators yelled “bombs coming” as the stadium was evacuated during the game.
In order to leave Dharamsala securely, she wanted to receive assistance from the IPL officials.
“Basically, it was really frightening when the entire stadium was evacuated during the game. Everyone was yelling that bombs were on their way. It’s still really, really frightening. We are eager to leave Dharamsala, and I’m hoping the IPL staff will take good care of us. This is really, really frightening. Why I am not crying is beyond me. In the video, she stated, “I think I’m still in shock [as to] what’s happening.”
A special train would be organised to transport the players, support personnel, and broadcast crew out of Dharamsala, according to Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He added that a decision about the IPL’s future will be made on Friday.

In 10.1 overs, Punjab Kings had advanced to 122/1 following aggressive half-centuries from Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya. T Natarajan removed Arya, and Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, stepped out to bat. But before the seasoned fighter could take a ball, the game was cancelled.
The match between the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru is set for this Friday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Whether the match will go place or not is still up in the air.
