During the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), spectators are not allowed to bring certain items into stadiums. In order to guarantee a hassle-free experience, fans who intend to attend the stadiums to see their beloved teams play in the 18th edition of the lucrative league should keep in mind a few of the tips discussed in this article.
This season, the gates to all IPL matches will open roughly three hours prior to kickoff.
If the barcode on the ticket has been altered, or if the ticket has been torn, vandalised, destroyed, or altered in any other way, entry will be denied. Some teams, like the Mumbai Indians, have made the decision that admission to their home stadium will no longer require actual tickets. It is crucial to remember that a fan cannot leave the stadium and then return. For clarity, if a fan needs to leave the stadium after entering for any reason, he will not be permitted to return using the same ticket. Only the area of the stadium where the appropriate seat is located is accessible to the ticket holder; no other areas of the stadium are permitted. Furthermore, reimbursements will only be given in the event that the game is called off or abandoned before a ball is bowled.
Bottles, lighters, tins or cans, musical instruments, flammable, toxic, illegal or hazardous substances, metal containers, firecrackers, fireworks, weapons, motorcycle helmets, bags or any other item (as decided by the organiser) that could endanger or annoy anyone else are prohibited from entering the stadium. No food from outside will be permitted. It is forbidden to bring alcohol inside the stadium. Within the stadium, alcohol consumption and smoking are prohibited.
Children under the age of two must have their own ticket, and anyone under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by and continuously watched over by an adult who is also a match ticket holder.
Three-time winners and last year’s victor, Kolkata Knight Riders, will play Rajat Patidar‘s Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, March 22, to kick off IPL 2025. Prior to the match, the BCCI has organised a lavish opening ceremony in which Bollywood actress Disha Patani and legendary singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform in the City of Joy.
