Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has not found any suitors in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft after going unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) big auction. But the Karachi Kings have chosen David Warner, who also failed to sell at the IPL 2025 auction.
In the current Big Bash League, Warner, one of the 44 players selected in the Platinum draft, has been playing exceptionally well. The left-handed opener has smashed 316 runs at an average of 63.20 and a strike rate of 142.34 across seven innings, making him the competition’s top run scorer right now.
Kane Williamson is participating in the SA20 2025 at the moment.
Playing for the Super Giants in Durban, the right-handed hitter had an undefeated season-opening score of 60 from 40 deliveries.
In addition to Warner, other notable players selected in the draft include Adam Milne (Karachi Kings), Finn Allen (Quetta Gladiators), Jason Holder (Islamabad United), Mark Chapman (Quetta Gladiators), Michael Bracewell (Multan Sultans), Daryl Mitchell (Lahore Qalandars), and Aamer Jamal (Karachi Kings).
