The video reveals a side-angle view of the dismissal in which Sandeep Sharma’s knuckle ball just brushes off the bail, dislodging it, and the keeper’s gloves are clearly separated from the stumps. As a result, Rohit was dismissed with only three runs off five deliveries.
Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green, despite this, produced crucial knocks of 55 and 44 runs, respectively, to keep MI steady in the pursuit. Down the order, Tim David displayed steely resolve in the final over by smashing three consecutive sixes off Jason Holder to defeat the Royals by six wickets.
