The Indian Premier League (IPL) is constantly trying to improve the viewing experience for its global supporters. With this perspective, the lucrative league has unveiled a new technology that has the potential to completely change the way people think about the game.
The IPL 2025 official social media accounts made the decision to give fans a look into the future during the thrilling action.
They posted a video of a robot dog welcoming the athletes during drills. When Axar Patel, Reece Topley, and Hardik Pandya saw some of the features of the four-legged machine, they were impressed.
“Kya hai yeh?” said Axar, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, in shock when he first saw it. (Can you tell me?). In the meantime, “What type of dog it is?” enquired Reece Topley, a pacer for the Mumbai Indians. Hardik engaged with the machine as well, referring to it as a “good boy” when it followed his instructions.

Some of the machine’s attributes were examined by seasoned commentator Danny Morrison. Additionally, the robot’s paws greeted a few of the participants. It will provide a whole new depth and dynamic to the broadcast, according to Morrison, with high-resolution cameras attached. In addition, he talked about how much he loves the “love pose,” which made the other cricket players salivate.
Morrison asked the fans for ideas on what to call the unusual gadget. According to the former New Zealand pacer, a special naming ceremony will be held for the lucky supporters. He even raced his foot with it before admitting it was too quick for him.
